1. Places Travelled

  • Bahamas - my first time on a plane
  • Trip out West where we visited Lake Louise, Banff National Park and Stanley Park
  • London, England - Did all the touristy things in London: Tower of London, shopped at Harrods, toured Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral, and had my first (and last) experience buying 'designer' perfume on the street—only to find out it was a fake.
  • Liverpool, England - Did the Beatles bus tour in Liverpool, where Beatles music was everywhere - on the tour - Penny Lane, Strawberry's fields and their childhood homes—I was completely 'Beatles-ed' out by the time we left though.
  • Amsterdam - Strolled through Amsterdam’s world-class museums by day and wandered the colourful, infamous Red Light District by night—experiencing the city's rich culture from every angle.
  • Visited resorts in Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica over the years for some poolside relaxation and plenty of reading.
  • New York City - family trip as my sister-in-law, Beverley Elliott, had a one-woman show, "Sink or Swim" and we all went to support her. We also had a chance to see other plays, "School of Rock" and Daniel Radcliffe in "The Lifespan of a Fact". We toured the 9/11 Memorial, the Financial District, horse drawn carriage through Central Park, walked through Times Square, ate a pastrami sandwich at the infamous "Katz's Delicatessen" where the famous scene was filmed in "When Harry Met Sally", went to comedy clubs, Staten Island tour, etc.
  • Fabulous Trip out East to Halifax, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island where we visited Peggy's Cove, toured the Cabot Trail, ate lots of lobster, whale watching, visited Anne of Green Gables Museum and watched the musical as well. Would love to go back and tour Newfoundland.
  • Scotland and Ireland - we did a 10 day bus tour and took in so many sights. We arrived the day of the Queen's funeral. The scenery was absolutely stunning. We toured many castles and churches, Cliffs of Moher, boat ride on the Loch Ness looking for the Monster, Guiness Factory tour, ate haggis and lots of great food and kissed the Blarney Stone.
  • Multiple trips to Mexico to stay off resort in an air bnb and enjoy the local cuisine and culture. Karoake golf cart was a definite highlight!
  • Nashville was a fun-filled weekend taking in the local music, being an audience member at the Grand Ol Opry, touring the County Music Hall of Fame.
  • Looking forward to many, many more trips!

2. Dream Home

I would love to live in a home overlooking a Northern Ontario Lake and listen to the loons and be surrounded by trees, especially Birch trees. I envision a stone/log home with a wood burning fireplace and large windows to enjoy the privacy and scenery.

3. Hidden Talent

My hidden talent is acting in Community Theatre. I have acted in community productions, including playing Babette in 'Beauty and the Beast,' and winning the Western Ontario Drama League (WODL) Award for Best Cameo Performance. I'll also be the Wicked Witch of the West in the upcoming Bruce County production of 'Wizard of Oz' in November 2024

4. Market prediction for 2080

By 2080, finding a fixer-upper will mean replacing outdated AI systems and upgrading to the latest in virtual reality decor.
