Brockton is located in the agricultural heartland of Bruce County, east of Kincardine and west of Hanover.

Brockton is a full-service community with a range of government services, schools and childcare, a hospital, community centres, and even flying lessons at the Saugeen Municipal Airport. Outdoor recreation includes golf, fishing, hiking, paddling the Saugeen River, and snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in winter.
